I know I’m so sorry. It sucks. I used to have to pinch myself because I was hoping it was a dream. For the first month I screamed to God, begging him to send my father back, but we all know that’s in the world that doesn’t exist. My therapist said something about this. She said your father loved you so much, that it’s enough for the rest of your life. You’re one of the lucky ones. Hold onto that love. I think about that often.
