Would you need to amputate the whole leg below the knee? I’m no doctor by any means but seems like just amputating the foot itself would be easier. Unless the whole bottom half of the leg is cooked

My dad had his leg amputated and while he was back getting prepped for surgery I saw his surgeon in the cafeteria eating right before. Literallt doctors are unphased

I had a limb salvage, apparently my surgeon was more ambitious and saved my leg. Now I play soccer with my kids, work on an ambulance. Crazy how much a surgeon willing to be aggressive and not just take the easy way out will improve your life! Wheelchair- 2 years, spinal stimulator - 7 years.
