It’s fascinating the take I keep seeing is “WOW it’s so weird Wired didn’t even vet this.” Like, there’s a running assumption the content creators know the contract better than the team of lawyers do. But that logic has the same kind of bias in it everyone’s accusing everyone else alive of having. Creators explaining the contract to “debunk” the Wired article are really only giving us insight into the way Chorus explained the contract to them. It’s not debunking anything. I’m actually worried for them because they’re taking the contract’s language way too lightly and feeling a false sense of confidence about Chorus never leaving them high and dry. My jaw dropped watching Allie’s explanations. I can’t tell if she genuinely doesn’t understand the contract’s language or if she does understand but is fine with it in the spirit of “taking one for the team.”

She literally has sources and people keep saying the articles been debunked by debunking claims that aren’t actually made in the article! For example, she never says the DNC funds this program but people keep “debunking” that unmade claim

I love that you're talking about Wired as though it is a respected publication. there's a reason why this story was not broken by respected news outlets that are respected. They vetted the information and found out it was a hunk of shit and that nobody would be able to credibly criticize this because every single person is guilty of it.

Wired almost published an article that was fake written by a fake author. They only caught on to the fact it was fake because they couldn’t pay the fake author. Please watch Z-man as he explains the situation and why Taylor Lorenz is causing real harm to people. I don’t like liberals either but when people are getting virtually harassed and bullied that’s taking it too far.
