You are doing great.. you are working out so you are building muscle which weighs more BUT you are such an inspiration. Because of you I started walking with a weighted vest and lost 5 lbs which moved me past my freeze. Just keep doing it!

My heaviest recorded weight was 500 pounds but I was definitely higher than that (the scale maxed at 499). I wanted to lose 250 pounds and it really was THAT easy (I’m kidding it was incredibly hard) but it is “eat better and move more” but it DOES NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT… it’s not ONE EASY THING… it’s a million little hard things. Consistency. Taking the fluctuations in stride. Not hyper fixating on each pound but have the knowledge that if you are consistently improving those pounds will go.

Do you have pcos? I do. I’m 67 menopausal and wasn’t even diagnosed until I was in my late 40s. It wasn’t a thing. Yet so many have always suffered! It’s a relentless challenge.

I've found my weight shoots up certain weeks of the month no matter what I've done. Keep an eye on what time of the month those highs come around and there might be a pattern. It means you can mentally prepare to see a higher number and stops you feeling like its something that you've done.

I weigh myself daily. Over time I've learned to see it as data only. I have a lot of data because I started in early 2024! I've figured out that my pattern is to drop to a new low, hover there for a bit, then hover 1-ish pounds higher for a bit longer, followed by a sudden spike of 2-ish pounds followed by a drop to my next new low. Like you, I know I've been careful and consistent...I have to trust that the data will eventually catch up. 😅

Weight can very easily fluctuate 2 pounds, 4 pounds because periods, what you ate(salt, fiber), heavier workout etc. Keep going!

I totally understand your frustration. I just finally broke my plateau after almost 3 months of a standstill. Someone told me not to focus so much on the scale number but how your clothes are fitting you. My scale number was still all summer, yet my clothes were still getting bigger. You are a huge inspiration to me and you’re doing awesome!😊

You’re so inspiring! 🥰 Hormonal fluctuations can affect water retention which makes a difference. Sometimes, changing what you’re eating can help. I’m trying the anti-inflammatory diet at the moment and it’s working well for me at the moment 💕

This!!! So much!!! Thanks for sharing! Stay strong! I've lost 30kg (66lbs) so far and just got rejected from getting tenure because my bmi is still 1 point to high and my belly is still 15mm (0.6 inches) too big. Never mind that I am basically never off sick, do bunches of extra work, loads of professional development, always get positive feedback and evaluations etc. Meanwhile a colleague suffering from alcoholism got tenure because that is invisible. Fat phobia sucks so much. Stay strong! We can do it despite everybody's bullshit!

I’m approaching my period and have gained similarly, it tends to happen before my period and then I lose it. It’s OK, it happens, you got this! It’s hard seeing the number go back up
