Go to the DMV and get a release of liability, always get one when you sell a vehicle so you aren’t responsible for any citations. I work for the highway patrol

if you turned in your release of car to dmv that should be good if not ur responsible cuz I sold a car and the same thing happened it was in an accident they never changed it but I had a copy of release to dmv and done

You forgot to release the liability after selling the truck. It doesn’t matter if you signed the title away, if you don’t release liability you are responsible.
