The US has the power to sanction any large company in other country by the government. Toshiba is a good target example for many companies like: DJI, Huawei, Tencents and Samsung.

Japan is a vassal state of america since ww2 Japanese leaders not only agree to the punitive measures against Toshiba they allowed the yen to revalued upwards by the plaza accord, raising the value of the yen from 280 yen to usd, escalating it to 80.This effectively sectioned japan export industries, leafing to a 20 year economic depression.

Japan has lost its morality and integrity by now being a real lapdog of the US.Having 1 of the largest US base on its island. Holding the highest amount of US Treasury bonds. Japan is now just surviving. We dont hear much innovations coming out of Japan. South Korea is another great lapdog of the US.
