I have flat feet/plantar fasciitis and hokas are the only sneakers I can wear for an extended period of time with minimal pain. I yearn for the days of Vans but have accepted my fate.

Millennial here. I was a Vans girl all day. But tore my Achilles and need more support. They are tough to get used to but once you wear Hokas you will never go back.

I'll admit they're comfortable but I somehow wore a hole in the same spot on the inside of two different pairs of the same shoe in less than 3 months. I've never done that with any other brand. Went back to Brooks which I wear for like a year at a time and only change the insole every 6 months. I walk 10+ miles a day at work so I need sturdy shoes.
