i live in the south and it’s so hard seeing specialists explain this to patients. the families genuinely don’t understand, they think their family members have been prescribed the wrong medications and even when i try to print out education and explain patient education they don’t believe it. they do not understand that if the heart isn’t strong enough, they will suffer. it’s a viscous cycle. i got yelled at for telling my patient and their family that they cannot doordash POPEYES AND KFC and they reported me to the house supervisor…i explained why the patient was struggling with swelling and then family got upset with me because they thought no one tried to get their loved one out of bed…i can only do so much 😕 i wish i could play this video on repeat for patients. they genuinely don’t understand
