Tell your kids the truth and age-appropriate ways but tell them the truth open the dialogue let them ask questions you’re preparing them for life so they hopefully will never end up in a similar situation and if they do, they will know what to do you fought for yourself, which is what you should do if you can and you did do it and you fought for them to get back to them they were your reason. Don’t try to process this on your own. Get help get therapy and not just for yourself for your whole family so they can help you and know how to be a support for you when you need it. You’re lucky to be alive and this is a life lesson for anyone traveling but especially women traveling alone or with other women know the country you’re going to research extensively if it’s safe how to be safe what precautions to take what safety network to have in place in case something goes wrong, it shouldn’t be this way. People should be able to travel. Women should be able to travel all over the world, but the rest of the world is not like home. Some places are awesome, and others are dangerous very very dangerous. The people that worked at that hotel were in on it.

Girl, we can NOT TELL YOU HOW TO FEEL ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!! Cry if you need to, punch a pillow if you need to, DO WHAT YOU NEED FOR YOU AND YOUR BABIES!! Tell them what happened, its a great lesson for them because it can happen at ANY age, we are sooooo happy you get to go home to them and youre SAFE!!!! That is alllll that matters!!! WE HEAR YOU!
