As a non Penn State fan.. James Franklin did do good stuff during his time there, but he hit his ceiling there last season coming up a game shy of a Natty game appearance. They parted ways today, and it was time for both parties. He couldn’t do what was needed, and the bottom was falling out of it fast.

As a Buckeye fan…Coach Franklin is a very goood coach. The record vs top 10 teams is real BUT, he has made Penn State relevant every single year. For PSU fans….he is a top coach. With the 12 team playoffs the Oregon loss was not a bad loss. It was a tough loss. Last year Ohio State lost to Oregon and TTUN and won a Natty. Hang in!

Penn state needs a change. Drew Allar can’t keep throwing picks; that whiteout game felt like a repeat of the orange bowl that we should have won. And James Franklin 1-15 against top 5 teams, 4-21 against top 10, 15-31 against top 25 and 4-17 against Ohio state and Michigan. You can’t compare yourself to teams like Ohio state Michigan or even Oregon when you can’t even beat them. If Penn state looses to Ohio state again Nov 1st they will struggle in the playoffs if they make it that far.
