@overstimulatedpancreas: Another night, another Dexcom change 💉 For those who may not know, Arya wears a Dexcom CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor). This little device is life-changing for people with Type 1 Diabetes. Instead of finger pricks all day long, the Dexcom tracks glucose levels 24/7 and sends alerts when sugars are trending too high or too low. The catch? Each sensor only lasts 10 days, so we have to switch it out regularly. That means another site, another insertion, and another adjustment for her little body. While it may seem like a quick swap, it’s a constant reminder of the daily work that goes into managing T1D. The technology is incredible, and we’re beyond thankful for it—but it doesn’t erase the challenges that come with it.
