Pro Baking Tip: How to Make a Fail-Proof Apple Pie! 🥧 Hello bakers! I’m excited to share my fail-proof method for crafting the perfect apple pie, which I call the “Rule of 15 Minutes.” Your timer will be your best ally in this delicious journey! Did you know the biggest troublemaker in apple pies is the apples themselves? With a whopping 85% water content, their freshness can make or break your pie. Say goodbye to soggy crusts! Here’s how to avoid that disaster: 1. Prepare the Dough (see previous post):Line your pie pan with dough and refrigerate it uncovered overnight. 2. Pre-Bake the Crust: Use cheesecloth and pie weights, bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15 minutes, then remove the weights and bake for another 15. 3. Make the crumble by mixing 2oz unsalted butter, 82% fat, with 2oz light brown sugar	3oz all-purpose flour and 1 tspoon cinnamon powder. Bake the crumble separately for 15 minutes at the same temp. 4. Cook the Apples: Peel and core 8 apples, cut each into chunks. Cook with 1oz butter, 1oz turbinado sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon powder and 1T vanilla extract for 15 minutes, covered on low heat. 5. Assemble & Bake:Pour the apple mixture into the baked crust, top with the crumble, dust with confectionery sugar, and bake for another 15 minutes at 300°F/150°C. Et voila! Your pie will be flaky, moist, and crunchy! I used 4 different types of apples to show that this method is truly fail-proof! Give it a try and share your results! Happy baking! #BakingTips #ApplePie #plugra #FailProofMethod #thespicehouse @The Spice House @PlugraButter
