When I explain the accelerator pedal on lesson one I instantly say I will refer to it as the gas pedal because it's fair easier and quicker to say give it more gas, rather than give it more accelerator. It's common sense for an instructor to keep the commands as easy to digest as possible.

Great post mate, I’ve felt the hate quite a few times on some of my posts for daring to say the word GAS… 🤣🤣 but it’s ALWAYS gas for me. ‘If you want the rainbow, you got to put up with the rain'. Do you know which philosopher’ said that?

I am in my training for part 3 and my instructor I'm with uses gas as we had the same conversation you are talking about and it makes it much simpler and quicker for you to say

It's our go to terms, more gas, less gas, too much gas, not enough gas, set your gas. Do you know you stalled? I forgot to add gas 😁.
