Why would james bring up seongjis lack of experience in cheonliang if they were both experienced enough to obtain path? Also if seongji unlocked his path while fighting james(which is what Im assuming happened) I believe he wouldve told that to the police guy in Busan that seongji had a path to pinnacle and thats why he was able to beat me instead of saying oh it was because of conviction and overcome? Just something im curious about.

no seongji doesn't have the criteria to unlock a path since he never had the experience (stated by james lee himself and no he wasn't acting coky since these ware his inner thoughts) and even if he had the potential and criteria multiple characters fit and you can't give a path witch is the current most op power on the manhwa to any character u like.

I mean his whole argument can be countered by the fact that we were introduced to gap before cheonglang however after cheonglang when the whole path system became introduced it was very obvious he had a path so even if it didn't exist back then the charecter (gapryong) still had it even if it didn't exist back then

I genuinely don’t think ptj was thinking that far like there’s so many things that just don’t make since and seem like they were ideas formulated after a certain point for example the whole revenge thing Tom lee talks about. Kenta’s whole character has revolved around revenge wanting to get back for his father yet his still one of the weakest characters around.

Nah the path statement isn’t to be taken literal, logically it dosnt make sense and James vs seongji is a contradiction to support that, unless PTJ decides to add on to seongji later seongji don’t have a path having the potential or criteria don’t mean anything multiple characters also fit this, also seongji and Charles have both stated that current James is significantly stronger then chenloang James so jaygeon being a threat to current James would at the very least put him relative or stronger then seongji
