I was once falsely arrested and picked up at my house for a fine I paid off 2 years back and a new clerk had misfiled it . I showed proof to the officer and he said he had to do his job. I tried to sue the town and no lawyer in the whole state would take the case.

That officer has every right to not take her to jail ! I have personally been in this situation and the cop said call me me in the morning,he let me go and it was found that the paperwork was misfiled,I feel bad for her

I was arrested for failure to appear, went to court and just so happen to see my old lawyer that handled the case in court. I said your honor the case was dismissed and I came to court my old lawyer is right there. She came up, confirmed and I was let go. mean while they already ruined everything I had going. No apology, no compensation, just released. I hate the system😩
