Ed Gein was from Wisconsin. Charlie missed the midwestern accent entirely and made him sound like Winnie the Pooh. That’s why Evan Peter’s Dahmer was so good—the accent was spot on

This isn’t meant to be a documentary; it’s an artistic exploration into the mind of a psychopath. Murphy’s work showcases the power of film as an art form, to make us think, feel, and question. He did an incredible job capturing how someone so deeply disturbed could still be perceived by others as quiet, harmless, or even misunderstood. That contrast is intentional and powerful.
