@janishubi: I thought this was a superior way to eat garlic bread and will 100% be doing this again (and again and again and again) DOUGH
🥛 180g warm milk (115°F)
🍞 2 1/4 tsp yeast (instant or active dry)
🍬 50g sugar
🧈 57g melted butter
🥚 1 egg + 1 yolk (room temp)
🌾 360g bread flour
🧂 ¾ tsp kosher salt * a little olive oil for the bowl (from ambitious kitchen) FILLING
🧈 57g butter, melted
🧄 5 cloves garlic, minced
🌿 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
🧀 1 cup grated Parmesan HOW TO
1️⃣ Warm milk, add yeast + sugar → let it bloom if using active dry. DO NOT overheat the milk!
2️⃣ Add butter, eggs, flour & salt → mix & knead until soft and slightly sticky.
3️⃣ Oil a bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1½ hrs (till doubled).
4️⃣ Roll out to a 25×35 cm rectangle.
5️⃣ Mix garlic butter + seasoning, spread evenly, then sprinkle Parmesan.
6️⃣ Cut into 9 strips with a pizza cutter, roll each up, and place in a 9x9 pan.
7️⃣ Cover & rise again until they’ve doubled in size
8️⃣ Bake at 350°F for 18–23 mins.
9️⃣ Brush with butter, pull apart, and serve warm #baking #homemadebread #garlicbread
