@xylocorpse: idc if yall thinks its “woke”, this is as clear as day if you understand how to inference. dont even get me started on how nasty some of yall have gotten when ppl ask why this is even a trend… showing exactly why this is a “social points” thing and not actually appreciating diversity. some of yall r weird #fyp#real#ongod#fart#blackhair
why am i seeing way more white people discussing their opinion rather than actual black women

idk i think the trend is fine, even if it is performative, its giving people more confidence to compliment and admire more things about other cultures. As a white woman I didnt know anything about black hairstyles and now after the trend I've seen so many cool hairstyles and things I wouldn't have known otherwise.

The whole thing started from a black woman saying why styles she likes on white women

Especially since black women are saying they find the trend weird and the white ppl posting the videos are MAD??? If a black person says ur being performative and u get upset by that instead of listening to them then CLEARLY you ARE being performative!

I wish people would stop making such a big deal of this. it's compliments! it's nice to appreciate each other! I'm sure some people doing it are trying to get brownie points but some people are being genuine and I appreciate it

I felt like the trend was at most questionable at first and then when actual black women started expression that they were uncomfortable suddenly they started saying sht like "oh I won't compliment you anymore" like okay.... They said they were uncomfortable they didn't insult your whole family

I genuinely wasn’t under the assumption people where doing it for brownie points, like the last thing people need is a white womans approval. I feel stupid for defend in this trend after understanding the context of why ppl are upset 💔

It's acknowledgement. Basically saying I like it but won't work on it because I can be accused of taking away from their circle, and profit. That's how it gets under the umbrella of racism. It's fear.
