it depends on the ball position, but no matter what bridge you use, just follow through.

If you bridge and aim properly in the first place you can use either method, over finger bridging has no distinct advantage over the traditional bridge other than comfort

just follow through, closed bridge isn’t necessary unless you have to really hit the ball, you didn’t need to use anywhere near that much power
