i would even argue that someone like whitney who was a lifelong dancer through college is at a disadvantage to someone like alix who danced more casually. whitney’s been hardwired to do the technique she knows, which varies from ballroom 👀

I’ve dabbled in many styles of dance (for funsies, not real training) including ballroom styles. For non-trained dancers all the styles are essentially the same difficulty. Only trained dancers understand the differences. Trained dancers 100% have an advantage. They don’t have to learn how to follow choreography and the basics of dance to even get started.
