Yes!! Someone bought our son something at a local gas station not too long ago too! Gave it to him and left and got into his truck. I asked my husband if he thought we were poor 😆 He said no, he was just being nice.

Im from California and live in gdl and its crazy the difference! Imo, in the usa alot of childless ppl see kids as like a burden, whereas in Mexico everyone is so nice to them/ saying hi to the child and its refreshing!

I feel like in the US kids are seen as an inconvenience. In Mexico they’re are members of society. People are so kind to my peque and while they call her “princesa” or “muñeca” and baby her, they also speak to her like she’s important. Like they ask her questions and try to have conversations with her, instead of addressing me. It’s so sweet.
