Years ago I remember there was something you could put on that would taste bad to keep from biting your nails. Don’t know if they still make that or what was in it but might be worth looking into.

U get nail varnish that smells and taste disgusting!! We used it with my gran stops them bitting there nails x

There are protective sleeves...for the Elderly and there is a skin picking medication Ive had to do both for my dad

Long sleeves with a snug cuff around the wrist and have her put a scented lotion on her hands for “dry skin” but the flavor will taste bad.

u can take her to a nail place..they have a treatment that looks like nail polish and it makes it so she cant..I followed another lady with the same issue and that's what her son did and it works! Just call around and ask who does it

Maybe for snacking in between meals, you can offer her something like sugar-free popsicles. Not sure if she likes them but they’re very low calories.
