Pregnant with my second set of twins at 40, my OB delivered my first set 10 yrs before. OB said you might not make it to my scheduled csection and if not annny Dr at L&D will deliver me. I went in at night & they called her but she wasn't coming in, on call Dr did the csection 🤣

My first ob/gyn withheld my baby wasn’t turned and the doctor who performed my Emergency c-section said I should have sued. For making me go through labor not knowing she was breached…I wasn’t the first who he did that too…

The office I saw for my pregnancy had you rotate through all the providers so you met everyone who could deliver you, which just meant that none of them took any accountability for you as a patient until then 🙃

This is crazy to me. I was upset that I didn’t really have a consistent OB throughout my pregnancy/had no idea who was going to deliver my baby, but honestly I got all the care me and baby needed and there were no politics like this

Finally someone is speaking about this! It’s crazy how OBs only seem to care if they’re the ones delivering your baby, did they forget they swore the Hippocratic Oath to CARE for patients? You’re absolutely right 💯 IT’S 👏 A 👏 BABY 👏

This happened to me. My OB new I was trying to get pregnant, I had already had 1 miscarriage. They waited until my 1st appointment for my second pregnancy to tell me they were no longer able to see me because my insurance required me to deliver at a hospital they didnt deliver at.

I had a miscarriage and the OB who was telling me finished by saying to me. “You know what I’m in the midst of a wedding for my daughter and let me tell you kids are kind of a pain anyway” I was shocked and obviously never went to him again

This is so crazy to me. When I had my daughter I was induced and my OB literally scheduled it for a day when they weren’t there (they had a weekend on call rotation with another practice) so an OB from another practice delivered my daughter and my OB came and checked up on me the next day when he was there for his shift. Like what does it matter who delivers? They still get money from the whole pregnancy!

Living in an area where there’s only one hospital to deliver at, this is wild. Women who are high risk go to the “big city” but everyone else goes to the same hospital.

Private practice Obs who have privileges at local hospitals, yes. Obs who work for the hospital system usually get paid a straight salary. Any doctor can decide they don’t want you as a patient. They just have to refer you out to someone else.
