Have they tested for cellulitis? I had a blood clot in my upper right arm which turned into cellulitis ( red, swollen and hot to the touch). Also I was tested for MRSA and had it too. My cellulitis turned into sepsis and septic shock. Keep an eye on it. Continued Prayers for her and you!

I love the way you care of your wife the way you make sure things are getting done I love how you in general are taking care of the kiddos the house the puppy. Not to scare you but my late boyfriend’s leg clots were found April 12 and he was gone by April 14th, she should not be released anytime soon if they haven’t resolved with blood thinners. Praying and hoping for the best for you both.

Fantastic news about the trache coming out. Maybe now there are less tubes/lines she might be able to go outside even if it’s just for a short time. It’s a huge production for icu nurses etc but so worth it

Kerri, this is very good news. Sounds like the medication to reduce platelets is slowly working, which is huge. Fingers crossed that with continued treatment the existing blood clots dissolve and new clots are prevented from forming. Having the trach removed is also huge. Michele is making good progress in the right direction. Happy to know she will soon be seen at Mayo. Continued strength and healing thoughts sent to Michele and family. ❤
