I think that ever since it came out, it gave me the chance of exploring characters that in one way,are alone in this world. Glinda is now a public figure, but deep down and without fame, she's completely alone. Elphaba wants to make a change in a world full of people that make her feel like a stranger while treating her terribly,so she's always and constantly alone. I believe it made me realise that true friendship isn't always perfect,it has its flaws. Wicked made me resonate with the characters, feel sympathy for them and discover how I actually am like them as well. On the other hand, it has also offered me an escape of the outside world, whenever I feel like I don't fit in. It helps me find joy and it pains me to realise that all this is soon coming to an end. For Good.
