@b737typerating: What happens if the landing gear doesn’t come down? 🤔✈️ Notes: - these can actually be quite heavy to pull, maybe even requiring you to get out of your seat to do it! - don’t be alarmed if the nose gear cable is significantly shortly than the other two - the actual cable for the nose gear is shorter than the main gear cables. - the manual extension works with the gear lever if any position (max and NG - for classics the lever has to be off) - on the NG and Max, the manual gear extension door has a micro switch, so if that door is open, the gear won’t retract - remember to always follow the QRH before anything else! #b737 #737 #aviation #flying #typerating This account has been made to make aviation knowledge more accessible. Nurse here, I am not sure why this is on my FYP but now I know how to manual release the gear up lock 🔒

What bugs me is even with modern tech they refuse to put cameras outside to get visual confirmation about out everything happens outside cockpit

How likely is it that I’ll ever need to use this? I’m not a pilot, by the way.

Why don't they put a Camera under the Plane, just to see what is happening under the Plane?

I tried this in-flight and followed your instructions, it's a bit confusing on the Cessna 152 though. There is no way of knowing if the gear is locked.

The max has an electric gear switch and no cables. Also you should not have to exit the seat to pull the cables, they have a max force to release them.

the green lights will only come on when the gear is down and locked.it will stay red as it travels to its own postion
