@kalusanzhi: Dear Storyteller, I thought I would share a quick tip on building confidence in public speaking especially if you are just starting out. Because as always, I do no gatekeeping when it comes to sharing tools that help you speak up with ease. ↳ Confidence grows in 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬, not giant leaps. Try these two things. ⤷ Speak in your community group or at church. Volunteer to give a short prayer, welcome guests, or offer a toast at a family gathering. ⤷ Join a speaking club or lead a small meeting at work. Start small. Stay consistent. Surround yourself with people who cheer you on. Affirm this as you grow: ↳ You are already good enough. ↳ Your voice matters, even when it shakes. ↳ You do not have to be perfect to be powerful. ↳ Every time you speak, you inspire someone, including yourself. ↳ You are becoming the speaker you once admired. Remember that the fear of public speaking is one of the most common fears in the world. But it is not permanent. With practice and the right environment, you can 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 and reclaim your voice. Happy Speaking!
