Why does everyone think mao mao is emotionless? She's just nonchalant about showing it because she wasn't given any type of attention when she was a baby so she learned to not show her emotions. Its just like how we all are raised, when attention isn't given enough we tend to isolate our own feelings and deny all sort of things.

In the later light novels we get to see MaoMao interact more closely with Loumen and it is the sweetest thing. Her father is the one person she consistently worries about and who's approval she desires most. Loumen is thoughtful, calm, and quiet but loves his daughter deeply and we get to see glimpses of the concern he has for her well-being. Lakan has a daddy's girl for sure...he just isn't the daddy MaoMao is crazy about, it's Loumen. ❤
