@abellemusic: oh well maybe it's worth it to invest in Microsoft Bob. always wanted my computer to look like a living room /// #windows95 #retrocomputing #pcgames #vintagetech #genz
You never answer my question on what the specs are of your win95 setup. 😞

No one can age you 😅. They think you are like 16.
Also if we find physical copies to send you, would you consider playing something?
Better yet are there any "holy grail" games you WANT to get?

Love what you’re doing; if you ever have issues with the hard drive there’s flash adapters for most hard drive types so you should be good to keep it going for years to come (and it’ll likely speed it up). Can’t wait to see what memories you share next 🙂

You should look into the protoweb project! it will let you browse the internet as it was in the 1990's on the computer its super easy to setup and also super fun :D

I’m sure it can get frustrating sometimes, but I actually enjoy watching you trying to troubleshoot and figure out how to get a game to play. It’s kind of part of the journey

I know nothing about the tec side of this but I have been loving watching you try to run these old games! I miss the CDroms I played as a kid and a lot of them I had honestly forgotten about untill I bumped into your videos. thanks for sharing your hobby with us! ✨

do you think you'd ever move on from this particular "stage" and try newer games (not necessarily current games, just stuff you didn't grow up on)? like, I don't think a person NEEDS to play newer games. I guess I'm just curious if that's a thing you've considered.

Win 95 was my OG when I was about 19? wow it was great. I broke the system by deleting a file from root. thank goodness for the floppy boot 😆😆 no Microsoft office for me. I had claris works. :) good memories.

I 100% enjoy your retro tech videos: You were one of the reasons why I custom made my own windows 98 pc from retro parts online, and nailed down a Voodoo 3 3000 that I’m pretty proud of getting! Keep up all the good work

I really love watching you test out old games you used to play, it gives me nostalgia. I vaguely remember playing old games among other things in my childhood so it just makes me happy.

Like your content, and I hope I’m not one of the annoying commenters. having trouble with game performance and stability is actually very period accurate. Hardware was so expensive and the performance changed so drastically between processor generations it was very common for people to just live with bad frame rates or glitches. It was truly difficult for the average gamer to know how well their system would run any given game. Console gaming was more popular for a reason, this stuff was for the nerds 🤓

Don’t sweat it, I wasn’t a “pro” when we first had to deal with this hardware & software 30 years ago either. We just tinkered and “figured it out”. Still amazing that you’ve kept up with it though. Ever hit up the retro cons? 🥰

My early memories of computers (a little older than you) is we had a Tandy computer that was simply DOS only and had a 5.25 floppy drive. Played a lot of Wheel of Fortune on that thing lol

Keep doing what you’re doing. I’ve recently been nostalgic and have been finding old DOS games on archive.org that I played as a kid. It’s a fun journey.
