Johnson is trying to force the Senate to pass the existing CR. But that CR expires on Nov 21st. A new CR or budget will have to be crafted and passed by then or we'll be right back into another shutdown. The Senate Dems are holding firm on demanding ACA premium subsidies be extended and Medicaid restored; the GOP has zero new plans for reforming the ACA; the GOP Senators are being forbidden to negotiate with the Dems; this is going nowhere.
