As an OBGYN who uses these for certain procedures I will say this is usually more uncomfortable than the balloon or an IUD placement....I only use for absolutely indicated procedures.

I had a dilator for my iud appointment it was in for less then a minute and hurt so bad I think this would be a better less painful process

Could these be what my midwife offered me at my 38 wk appt? She said they could insert at next appt, send me home for a few days, then see if it helped start labor. I declined, felt like I would prefer direct medical supervision

I had this during labor and it was horribly painful. I was literally screaming while they inserted them.

they definitely should stock these. I swear whatever they used to dialate my cervix for my IUD just looked like a plastic skewer 😬

we use them got IOLs. its hit or miss if it actually works. half the time I find them in the v@g
