@furahameansjoy: Calling Congo and Sudan “bait” is suchhh a projection of how y’all really see Africans 🤷♀️ And no I’m not done talking about it. #talkaboutsudan #talkaboutcongo #baiting #hasanpiker #internalizedantiblackness
He could raise so much awareness with the size of his platform about what just happened in El Fashir but he actively chooses not to.

Have you spoken about Palestine? You spending so much time speaking on Hasan and he has spoken about Sudan. What I want to know as I can't check all your videos but just reply to that one question.

I couldn’t put it into words when I’ve been seeing people do what you’re describing for at least a year now in comments section when people say please talk about Congo or Sudan too. But now i know how i can articulate it next time so thank you for this video

Mind you, he could do SO MUCH by speaking on the UAE’s role in Sudan. Or even active slace trades ran by THE GOV of Arab nations by African bodies. All our struggles are related and when you diminish one, you harm the collective fight for liberation.

If somebody that doesn’t talk about societal issues ever brings up Congo/Gaza in a conversation about Sudan or vice versa, I think it’s a safe assumption that they don’t care about the issue? Or am I supposed to just think these people grew a conscience in 2.5 seconds and aren’t just making a “why aren’t you talking about this problem then hypocrite” argument because they don’t want to talk about any of it… - I didn’t see thousands of either liberals or zionists during the Election bring up worldwide problems that they literally never referenced in their years of making content in order to discount the protests for Gaza just for the same thing to happen in this situation and I’m forced to act like it’s different. - There have been plenty of activists on this app that I’ve specifically defended for their “baiting”…but they were advocates with a track record and obviously engagement farming (but the negative publicity still didn’t exactly help). I’m not going to give a random comment the benefit of the doubt especially coming from bad faith (as he talked about Sudan very recently).

This is valid criticism, but I think speaks to a larger societal and "media" issue. I think if Hasan was confronted by a Black or Brown person irl about this issue he would finally address it, hopefully. But I do agree he needs to do better. Let's keep up the pressure 💯 good video

The anti-blackness in these movements is actually loud people genuinely think that if you support Palestine you can't be racist as if Palestinians don't have their own anti-blackness within their community as if everybody doesn't have their own anti-blackness within their communities so to talk about Palestine won't talk about the lynchings here in America why ? anti blackness a lot of the people I know talking about Palestine only talking about Palestine and then when people call that out its a problem 👎🏽 I've literally experienced racism within the Palestinian coalition in my own city and they said they didn't care as long as they supported Palestine 😂

Also, the framing of "demanding" is interesting. Is that the most accurate phrasing? Is asking why you don't talk about Sudan a "demand"? How about requesting, or suggesting? Or are those also "demands"? Or the people speculating on why also demanding, or are they not making any asks at all, and they're just explaining what they see. Demand feels like a loose word intended to paint criticism in a certain light.
