If the GOP really wanted to open the government they would negotiate with the dems. They don't want to, because now that they have convienced you that this is the dems fault, they can just keep it at it, blaming the dems. The GOP don't care about poor people, they don't care if you recieve healthcare, social security or government employees getting back to work. They care about winning and owning the dems.
