@kourtisediting: There’s two types of POV that are currently in fashion right now—first person and third person limited. Second person POV, I’ve found to be mostly used in y/n fanfics. Third omniscient has fallen out of favor for the POVs that allow readers to have a more immersive reading experience. When you’re deciding which POV to write your book in, try all of them. See what one feels best to you and for the story. #writertok #amwritingfantasy #amwritingromance #writingcommunity #bookeditor

Trish 💚 :
A Dowry of Blood wrote in second person and I LOVED it. It was such an interesting way to pull it off and I loved it

This is such good advice! I’ve been a little on the fence about the pov I’ve written in. Going to try a rewrite a chapter or two in third person limited to see how it feels!

Have there been any popular fictional novels written in third person objective, where all characters’ thoughts have to be ascertained only through their dialogue and actions?

My favorite 2nd person is in Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. This is my favorite book ever and I love how she used 2nd POV as part of the plot and world building! These are great tips 💕

third person omniscient definitely feels dated because it's so associated with the classics
