What I’m hearing is humans hallucinate worse than AI does. Does that make everyone’s anger about invented facts simply projection? The part I’ve never understood is we can see humans make shit up constantly… at least I know GPT isn’t doing it on purpose.

It’s so widespread. You can’t even have reasonable conversations bc as soon as you show doubt or skepticism, you’re treated like you don’t know what you’re talking about

I work with guy who's in India. He's such a kind, interesting, hard-working guy. Because English is his second language (tho he's more fluent than many of my EFL colleagues), his bosses are making him use ChatGPT now when he messages us. It is so awful, and also it means he is constantly asking questions to keep these nonsense convos going, because that's what ChatGPT does. It is Black Mirrorian

AI can be so useful when used correctly but the amount of times ive needed to correct AI it has given conflicting advice - i knew quickly to understand its limits. Deepseek is entirely convinced it is still 2024 and when you need something current and give the current date it will hype me up for thinking into the future 😂

If you go away, and come back when the ai bubble is over, we will just be onto the next bubble. One of the hardest pills to swallow about working in tech for me was the fact that everything about it seems to be a hype bubble to a hype bubble to another hype bubble.

It’s also so fascinating, if you have a pattern behavioural mind as most of us in tech do you can easily see any email blog write up that’s by Ai they carry a certain tone and there vocabulary is crazy not to mention the traditional “ - “ 😅 but yeah I agree completely how long will it be before before it’s dictating our life decisions and you can’t even have a conversation with a human mind anymore😅
