Cambodia tried to copy Thai clothing and tell the world that they are the originators, which I do not accept. Her Majesty the Queen Mother designed beautiful Thai fabrics and had them designed by famous designers for her to wear on friendly visits to many countries for 7 months to show the whole worldIt is a Thai dress, Thai fabric, and there are many dresses with many names. Recently, Cambodians have tried to wear Thai dresses and promote them as their dress. Aren't they proud of their own national costume? The Sampot dress is beautiful I wouldn't be surprised if they like the culture of some countries. I like watching Korean series I wanted to wear a hanbok but never claimed that it was my hanbok. However, the Cambodians seriously wanted to claim the Thai dress. I think they were trying to find a highlight for their country but they didn't develop their own culture. They could only copy it.

In Thailand at the Grand Palace there is a museum dedicated to the royal family garments. They have some of her clothes through the decades. Absolutely stunning in person.

Thank you fot acknowledging her work. This is why it's an insult to Thailand when Cambodia is trying to erase Thai identities by claiming Thai dresses. Even though they don't have solid documentation and records to register Khmer dresses with UNESCO, they instead registered 'Khmer wedding' and wore Thai dresses to claim them as their own. As a Thai, I will defend Thai dresses at all cost.
