Yeah this was disturbing for a Nintendo game. The sounds and the xray of Samus’ heart then the flatline was the game straight up yelling at you that you died and shows you proof.

Remenber the bodies of the soldiers hanging from the ceiling getting eating. The metroids with a space pirate on their mouth, the space pirate in the tank with metroids, the father and daughter Luminoth that died due to poisoning in the darkworld, this game was really dark and I love it for it, I hope Prime 4 is the same, but I highly doubt it
