@thegritfactorrescues: 🌧️🐾 Whoa! What a day—and it’s only 12:45! Dang! Damn! 😂 As y’all know, it’s been nothing but rain, rain, rain around here. And when it’s transport day, that means in and out, in and out, in and out—then you get to CASA and do it all over again! By this point, I don’t even know… 💩 or mud? Which one’s on my shirt? Which one’s on my pants? Or is it both? Who knows! The world may never know. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 BUT HOW CUTE IS OUR GRIT FACTOR PARTNER NICOLE- 6am and water proof! 💁🏻‍♀️ So yep, I’m soaked, I’m tired, I’m hungry… and I’m happy. Because if I’m worn slap out before lunch, that means it was a good day. 🙌 All of our dogs passed, everybody’s headed to their rescues in Illinois, and I even stayed to help with health certificates and vetting—one of my favorite parts of the whole process. 💉🐶 I absolutely love the ladies at CASA. They’re friendly, they’re dog-friendly, and they treat those pups like gold. It’s a place full of heart, y’all—check them out if you haven’t already! ❤️ Now, let’s do a little roll call 🎤👇 🚐 The G-Waggin’ was full today! We had not one, but two gorgeous Heelers—my absolute favorite breed and, I swear, I’ve had one on every load this year. These two stunners came from Savannah. Someone there didn’t want them… but somebody else sure did, and they’re headed to their best lives now. 💙🤠 Then there was B-I-Z-Z-Y—our red mini Aussie from our friend Whitney in Memphis. Let me tell you, that name fits her to a T! She stayed with me last night, and y’all… adorable doesn’t even cover it. 😍 We had four pups from Senatobia, four shepherd-looking babies (with double dewclaws, Senatobia 👀), seven from Abandoned to Adored in Mississippi (thank you, Leanne 💕), and six cuties from Bruton Branch that Nicole’s been fattening up and doctoring all week. 🍖💊 🐯 Our “tiger” girl Boston finally got committed and is off to her new family! (Don’t ask—she’s a tiger. We don’t make the rules. 😂) From Hardin County Animal Services we had our two Heelers, four Belgian-Malinois-looking pups, and two more little ones tagging along. And our alum rockstar this trip? ⭐ Cowboy! Cowboy has been at Hardin County Animal Services for almost a year. Overlooked every time. Just a hound who didn’t wanna hunt—he wanted to play, run, and love life. 🐕💨 Today, Cowboy got his ticket out. The staff will miss him dearly, but Cowboy, buddy… your best days are just beginning. 🤎🐾 Massive shout-out to all the rescues who helped pull this load and to the Hardin County Animal Services crew—ACO Lacey, ACO Michael, Kateland (not pictured and on a well deserved vacation!), and Erin (not pictured and out sick but always has my paperwork ready), and the others who make this dream a reality! It truly takes a team. I couldn’t do any of this alone. 💪❤️ Alright y’all… peace out. ✌️ This soaked, smiling, sleepy transporter is headed for a nap. 😴🐶💤 ⸻ 🕘 Update – 9:20 PM: I’m just now posting this message (and today’s video!) because it’s literally the first chance I’ve had all day. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my busiest days of the week with transport—not just getting dogs where they need to go, but then coming home to clean everything. Towels, bowls, dishes, floors, kennels, cages… all of it. 🧽🐾 It’s a lot—and it’s me doing it. So I’m just now getting this posted, and I still have to finish putting the video together.
