The reason why Anya create Durin in Simulanka is because she cares for the real Durin so much, she said that his fate in real life is too cruel and want him to have another chance to live and meet new friends. Eventhough Baberloth told her that his fate in Simulanka will mirror the real Durin she still choose to create him and care for him until she died. She believes that oneday he will meet new friends and can change his cruel fate. Compare how Rhinedottir treat her creations, Anya is a much more better mom.
