Women's rights are next people say but a women's right to travel freely and leave the state for medical care and hold certain physical jobs has already been restricted because of strict abortion laws in red states including mine. The attack on women's freedom is already here, let's all wake up!

So I live in Texas and they didn't make it legal to refuse licenses. They did however make it legal for judges to refuse to marry someone. We don't require a judge to get a license. The county still has to issue the license, the judge does is not required to perform a ceremony. Anyone that is ordained can still marry us. Thankfully.

Not just the “it’s not going to happen” but the “you’re in a state where it’ll be legal” okay so I shouldn’t fly over a state where it isn’t legal in case I end up in the hospital that doesn’t recognize my spouse? Is that what straight couples have to worry about ????
