We used to drive from Indiana to Florida every spring break, found out after I had a kid, my mom was giving us Benadryl so we slept the whole drive 😩🤣

pack the car the night before then all u need to do is put kids in car and go that helps 100%

I'm a mom with a 2 year old we do a lot of 4 to 6 hr road trips and we learned 4am start is the best!

Yes, girl! As a mom of 4, 04:00-05:00 is the perfect time to leave for a road trip! They might be awake for a little bit, but then they all go back to sleep FOR HOURS! It’s great! We did it driving from TX to Colorado, Florida, and Atlanta. We also pack little activity/snack bags and use technology as a last resort. Another pro tip: find local playgrounds along the way where you plan to stop, grab lunch, let the kids play for 15-20 min while everyone eats (or a McDonald’s play place, Chick-fil-A etc)! Gets their energy out.

When we did it, I would have the car on and warm and turn the interior lights off. We carried them to their seats, buckled them in, and covered everyone with a blanket. Left the car quiet until we were on the highway. But my husband is always sleepy the next day

Haha I’ve lived this, tried through the night … pure misery. And now even with our girls being 4 and 6, we always leave as early as possible for long road trips, and it definitely works best for our family too :).

We did Uk to Greece with 2 under 4 it was like 50 hours but my kids was amazing we had lots of activities planned and everything was great

A very similar thing happened to us a few years ago (no kids); dad went to bed at 8, mom and I stayed up and packed, we leave 3am and think we'll get there around 9am and sight see before check in at 4. Yeah we ended up having two overlapping stomach bugs and were miserable in a car all day trying to find things to do before check in 😭
