i heard about the “ai edits trend” going on and felt like i need to say something, even if it feels random, or if not many people will read what i have to say… considering i don’t really speak my mind here on tiktok. that artificial internet has gone way beyond our expectations is something we all know, but i never thought i’d see CONSTANT AI EDITS. i don’t spend hours, days, weeks and months working on my projects for MY OWN SATISFACTION, to open social media and see thousands of “so called editors” using ai to create something that was never theirs to begin with. independently if you’re an editor/artist or not, if you take art seriously or not, if you create anything by yourself or not.. you should be able to comprehend something like this. perhaps this silly trend doesn’t directly affect my life, but everything starts as something trivial and eventually develops. i am not scared of ai taking my “dream job” or my “passion” away from me. i am scared of how people turn a blind eye to it… do you ever feel like people around you don’t care too deeply about things like this? they don’t realize how quickly technology has changed and how fearsome this can be. most people who follow these ai trends do it out of spite, and not because “art isn’t accessible”. if you want to edit, LEARN, don’t steal people’s works and most importantly don’t make a machine do it for you. if you want to draw, PICK UP A PEN. art doesn’t have rules, your own mind is the limitation. in life we learn to grow up by ourselves, you could say the same about art… no one is born with a talent, nobody is gifted. you can train your creativity and skills.. and if you SOMEHOW got a problem with this..
