The 14-month investigation, led by the Brown County Drug Task Force and the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group, uncovered a sophisticated operation that authorities believe funneled drugs directly from Mexico into the Midwest. Detectives seized 3.2 kilograms of cocaine, 45 pounds of marijuana, 27 firearms, two vehicles, and more than $46,000 in cash. Among those charged are Kevin Morana-Morales, Xiomara Rodriguez, Erik Moreno-Flores, and Elvis Alvarado, all facing serious trafficking and conspiracy counts. Alvarado remains behind bars on a $500,000 cash bond, while Morana-Morales and Moreno-Flores each received $300,000 bonds. Rodriguez’s bond was set at $250,000, with four others granted lower signature bonds.
