I live in a brownstone as well and while I do love the space there’s literally a problem everyday I don’t think I could own a brownstone here unless the whole thing is gutted

I’ve lived in a house in NYC my entire life, I have a huge backyard and I never host. I actually pretend I don’t have space to prevent people from thinking they can stay here. Ya’ll wanted to host lol.

I moved from a large house in SE to my small apartment BECAUSE OF RATS! (I’m in DC). Now I’m considering a condo purchase but I could not be on the bottom level and I’m scared of HOA fees just like you said. But DC has good first time buyer perks so we shall see. 😫

Less hosting in the new spot! Only do summer(not every weekend) , thanksgiving & nye that's it! Im in my mid 30s. Idk if im getting a townhouse up north. But I agree with you on the hoa because my two cousins have one & dont like the board. My friend is Jacksonville hates her hoa.
