OP's fiancé definitely has autism (speaking as a woman who also has it), here is a few examples: * fear of rejection * fear of confrontation * needing to write down/script conversations because you can't think on the spot * being unable to spot seemingly glaring red flags in people they are close too * and not wanting a huge drawn out wedding (i would bet this is because she gets overstimulated and socially drained)

I don’t know Indian tradition but all the Bengali women I have ever known do not wear their wedding gold regularly 😭 it is for special occasions, maybe Eid maybe a special occasion or wedding
