I once asked to tame a wounded phase spider in session 1, got a nat 20 and there I was with leggsy for the rest of session. when my character left the party he parted with me. never will forget him.

This right here is why our GM made the wolf spirit guardians we encountered physically incapable of leaving their goddess’s temple. He knew we would adopt the good boys and girls if we could!

one of my players wanted to adopt a twig blight. told em if you get high rolls then we can figure something out. ended up performing an exorcism to remove the dark vampire magic and replace it with her dieties light magic.
