@qdxdnr0373: Char Siu Cauliflower recipe 💚 by @dandumbrell Recipe 👇 (makes 2 servings) Ingredients 1 cauliflower head 1/3 cup charsiu sauce* 1 Tbsp sesame seeds 1 Tbsp neutral oil (avocado, grapeseed) 2 Tbsp tahini 1/2 cup yoghurt 1 Tbsp rice vinegar 1/2 tsp white pepper powder Salt to taste Method 1) Preheat the oven to 180C. Cut 2 "steaks" from the cauliflower by first cutting the middle right through the core, followed by cutting 5cm thick slices from each half. Reserve the rest of the leaves and florets for another recipe. 2) Brush a lined baking tray with the oil, then place cauliflower steaks on the tray. Brush each steak generously with char siu sauce, then place in the oven to roast. After 15 minutes, remove from oven, flip then brush the other side generously with charsiu sauce and roast for a further 15 minutes. Bump up the oven temp to 220C - now you are going to roast the steaks for a final 15 minutes - flipping and brushing the steaks every 5 minutes (i.e. 3 times) until the charsiu sauce caramelises and the edges start crisping up. During the last 5 minutes, sprinkle with sesame seeds and finish roasting. 3) To make the tahini-yoghurt sauce, firstly whisk tahini with a little bit of warm water to loosen into a paste. Add the yoghurt, rice vinegar, pepper and salt to taste and combine. 4) To serve, spread the tahini-yoghurt sauce on a place and place on cauliflower steak.
