Beef & Egg Rice Bowl [Recipe]✨ This is my version of the Japanese donburi - tanindon 他人丼 - literally means “outsider’s or stranger’s rice”. 🍚 Because instead of using chicken and egg like 親子丼 literally “parent-child rice”, beef and egg aren’t related and are therefore, “outsiders/strangers”. 😂 That was a bit of trivia you didn’t ask for. 😉 Makes 1 Ingredients: 5 slices hotpot beef 2 eggs (beaten) 1/2 small onion (sliced) Cooking oil 1 stalk green onions (chopped) Steamed white rice Sauce: 1 Tbsp and 1/2 tsp soy sauce 2 tsp rice vinegar 2 tsp Japanese cooking wine 60 ml hot boiled water 1 tsp dash powder 1 tsp sugar Instructions: 1. In a small bowl, melt dashi powder in hot boiled water, mix in other sauce ingredients 2. Heat cooking oil in a small pan on medium, add onions to cook 3. When onions are almost fully cooked, add beef 4. When beef is partly cooked, pour sauce into pan and let simmer for about 30 seconds 4. Pour eggs, close lid and turn off heat. It’s done when egg is partially cooked. Heat for longer if fully cooked eggs is desired. 5. Garnish with green onions 6. Serve over steamed rice That’s it! Simple and nutritious. Now whether you want to eat it with your family or strangers is your choice. 😂 📝 You can use pork slices instead of beef slices for this. Just make sure they are thin like the ones you use for hotpot. 🥢 ❤️ Like, share and follow @recipesedited for more easy recipes and fun meal ideas! #EasyRecipe #japanesefood #egg #rice #asmr #foryoupage #cookwithme
