I lost my dad when I was 16, today im 26, and his birthday is tomorrow.. I still remember his smell, but his voice has faded with time. I still wear some of his clothes, and I notice now that the man in the mirror holds resemblance to him, if only a bit.

This hit hard today. I’ve been missing my dad. He’s been gone 6 years. He wasn’t always a good man and caused a lot of trauma but he never made me feel unloved. I often miss his simplicity
