Moderate here! I think a movement more towards socialism is warranted because of the way our government has corrupted capitalism through becoming a slight oligarchy.. people voting this way is a reaction to failings of our current and past administrations

I disagree. I think we need some sort of socialism and an increase of taxes for billionaires bc this is the largest wealth gap we have ever had. On top of that, the top 10% keeps offshoring roles, conducting mass layoffs, and replacing human jobs with AI where they aren’t really distributing cash into the economy

Even when the government runs a grocery store, the customers still pay for the groceries. This model seems to work fine for commissaries on bases. They’re just not running for profit. So is that conflation about “free stuff” something you’re not understanding or did you say this mistakenly? We’ve also had several moderates take office in various levels of government that ended with Trump. The moderate approach has failed, quite gravely.
